Time for a quick blog post! Sometimes I have to push myself to post here, Facebook is so much quicker! This is the place to be when I have a few more words to say!  :-)

Two weeks ago while helping out at The Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival In Edmonton, I bought a neat little portable scanner called the Flip Pal! It's perfect for scanning lots of photos! I have been playing with it (SO EASY!) and am quite impressed. It's small enough that I will be taking it to Nova Scotia next time to scan some pictures that my parents have. I'd love copies of those "blasts from the past"! It comes with a great little stitching program so you are by no means restricted to a 4x6 photo!

During a burst of scanning, I came across some pictures from Bill's collection of work photos. I don't often scrapbook his pictures as they are his stories to tell if he chooses. However I think it's still important to add them to our albums. His days of geology fieldwork were some of his favourites times! The pictures I used in this layout were buried in a pile...out of sight, out of mind!

Karen Foster patterned paper  / sticker embellishments / coil brads
stamps from: Bo Bunny / Technique Tuesday / Unity
Colorbox Chalk ink
Webster's letter stickers
Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

These photos were perfect for Kelly Klapsteins's Double The Fun Sketch for Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine. The papers are all from Karen Foster Designs...a great fit for the pictures, all of the words on the one paper were just what I needed!

This was a fun sketch to work with! For a chance to be published in Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine...work with it and share your layout!

Back in July I received an email explaining Tombow's "100 Days of Tombow". I immediately loved the idea and started the very easy process to become involved!

Tombow is celebrating their centennial year! WOW! [hands clapping, confetti falling] They set a goal to raise $10,000 to be donated and used by the Council for Arts Education. This nonprofit company will use the money to promote and support art education and programs nationwide! LOVE THAT! By me participating in the program, they will donate $100 to this wonderful cause!

After returning from summer holidays, I received a package containing a few Tombow products to work with. To do what I love to do and have a donation made because of that...NO BRAINER! So on with my reveal:

My first card was made and published on Canadian Scrapbookers Blog. I used the Tombow Markers to add the teal & brown  [ "Groovy" collection] directly to an Obsession Impression stamp. I used the Tombow Colored Pencils [light grayish tone1] to add some subtle color to the stamped image. Tombow Glue Dot runner keeps all my layers together and securely in place!

My second card was made using all the same products! I used the brown marker directly on a Heartfelt Creations stamp. The detail of the stamp was colored with the markers and pencil crayons to add soft and bright color! The image background was created using the the markers directly on the stamp, however I "stamped off" on a scrap piece of paper to use the third impression for a lighter, less intense image! Once again the Tombow Glue Dot runner keeps everything adhered securely. A bit of bakers twines add some dimension and holds the sentiment tag.

Thanks for dropping by to see I easily used Tombow products for my cards. Now it's your turn. HOW DO YOU TOMBOW????
